Bonding is the easiest and least expensive of all cosmetic dental procedures. This can be used to repair chipped or cracked teeth, close the gaps, change the shape of the tooth to make it look better, or even as a cosmetic alternative to silver amalgam filling.

Veeners are wafer-thin, custom-made shells that cover the front surface of teeth.Bonding of veneers to the front surface of the teeth can turn your smile more esthetically pleasing as it changes the color, size and/or shape as desired. Although veneering offer a conservative approach compared to crowns, the process is irreversible.

A crown is a tooth-shaped "cap" that's placed over a weak or damaged tooth to improve its shape, size, strength, or color. It can be made of all ceramic or porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, full metal or resin. Before a crown is seated, the existing tooth is filed down; then the crown is cemented over it, fully encasing the tooth. Onlays and 3/4 crowns cover the underlying tooth to a lesser extent.

Enamel shaping or contouring is a quick and painless process of shaping natural teeth to improve their appearance. It is generally used to correct small imperfections such as uneven teeth or teeth that are slightly overcrowded. Results can be seen immediately. Enamel shaping is often combined with whitening, veeners or bonding.

Braces are used to correct the crooked or misaligned teeth to improve the oral health, appearance and beautify the smile. Braces work by applying steady pressure over time to slowly move teeth into alignment. As the teeth move, the associated bony socket also changes the shape to accommodate the shifted teeth.

While metal braces are still in use, modern day braces can be as you like: inconspicuous or with colored, tooth colored or clear brackets (the part attaches to the teeth). There are even “invisible” braces, which use a series of clear plastic molds, to gradually move the teeth in to alignment.

Who doesn't like a bright smile? An assortment of teeth-whitening systems is available, including toothpastes, over-the-counter gels, and trays, and whitening agents obtained from a dentist. But whitening isn't for everyone. It's ideal for people who have healthy, unrestored teeth and gums. Individuals with yellow tones to their teeth respond best. Natural tooth-colored composite fillings can be used to replace existing silver fillings, which need replacement due to wear, chipping or cracks. People even opt to replace old silver fillings with tooth colored composites due to esthetic reasons or even due to their concern about health hazards of mercury containing silver fillings. However, keep in mind, composite fillings in larger cavities tend to wear out sooner than silver fillings.

Gum reshaping can improve a "gummy" smile in which teeth appear too short, or where the gum line appears uneven. A small amount of gum tissue - and excess bone tissue if necessary - is removed and contoured to expose more of the teeth. This procedure can be done to one tooth to even the gum line, or to several teeth to expose a natural, broad smile.

Millions of people suffer tooth loss, mostly due to tooth decay, gum diseases or injury. Dental implants that are replacement of tooth roots made of Titanium, provide a strong foundation for the attachment of fixed or removable artificial teeth. Dental implants can provide good support for individual fixed tooth crown or even for a removable denture.

A denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth and surrounding tissue. There are two types of dentures - complete and partial. Complete dentures are used when all the teeth are missing, while partial dentures are used when some of the natural teeth remain.
Bridges can improve the appearance and function of the teeth
A fixed (permanent) bridge replaces one or more teeth by placing crowns on the teeth on either side of the gap, and attaching artificial teeth to them. The "bridge" is then cemented into place. A cantilever bridge is used when there are teeth on only one side of the open space. Maryland bonded bridges have plastic teeth and gums supported by a metal framework.
Gum grafts can improve the health and appearance of your smile
Tooth roots that are exposed due to gum recession may be sensitive to hot and cold foods or liquids, and they make teeth appear long. Gum recession can put you at risk of developing a cavity on the tooth root, and may lead to bone loss, eventually resulting in tooth loss. Soft tissue grafts, which move healthy gum tissue from one part of the mouth to another, can stop gum recession and bone loss and improve the esthetics of the gum line.

An esthetically pleasing dentition and a great smile can be achieved through combination of dental procedures, which may include: correction of crooked teeth by orthodontic braces, rectification of chipped or discolored teeth using veneers or crowns, replacement of old worn and discolored fillings with new tooth colored white fillings and improving the esthetics of gum line using gum grafting procedure.
