Bad Breath

One of the many dental issues that may arise from not maintaining a regular oral hygiene regimen, such as brushing and flossing the teeth, is chronic halitosis, or foul breath.

Food particles that are left behind encourage the development of germs on the tongue, in the space between teeth, and around the gums. Bad breath may be caused by microorganisms that generate odors and by decomposing food. Unkept dentures may also be the cause of bad breath coming from the mouth. Remember that there are a variety of other causes of foul breath, including smoking, eating specific foods (garlic, onions, etc.), and sometimes stomach or respiratory disorders.

Instead of only treating the symptoms, it's critical to find the underlying reason and get the right care. Recall that chronic foul breath might indicate dry mouth or gum disease.
